A Description of the Jog/Bike Ride on this DVD

The first part of your 60 minute jog begins at the peak of Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park.
At an elevation of 1,530 feet, the mountain is the highest point on the eastern seaboard.

On clear days like this one, the visibility from the top of the peak is 50-60 miles.

As you begin your descent, a group of cyclists race by on their way down the mountain.
You're traveling at 12 miles per hour, the cyclists, much faster.

This national park actually began 18,000 years ago as a glacial sheet of ice nearly a mile high.
And in early May, when this virtual experience DVD was filmed, there was still some snow on the ground.

Your descent down Cadillac Mountain continues following the twisting park road.

After 15 minutes of descent, you turn onto the 26 mile park loop road.

The loop road offers the jogger or biker a mix of sun and shade...

and varied topography and vegetation.

Your 60 minute virtual tour ends at the park's carriage house.

And as a BONUS CHAPTER you get....

"Down East," a bonus chapter with a 14-minute featurette on the rocky seacoast,
the clear forest streams, and harbors in this part of Maine, is also included on this DVD!

The featurette takes a closer look at the wide variety of scenic areas
found in and around the coast of Maine.

Accompanied by lush New Age Music,
the bonus chapter can be used as a cool-down from your exercise session.....

or, a beautiful stand-alone Maine travel video that can be enjoyed all by itself.

You'll take a leisurely look at some of the most scenic vistas in Maine...

view some beaver lodges, and watch a doe as she forages for food...

and get up close to Maine's sparkling streams.

The featurette ends with a section devoted to picture-postcard Maine harbors.

And remember, this DVD makes a unique gift for family and friends!
